Welcome to the online edition of the first issue of IEEE-SPCE INSIGNIA. This section contains selected few articles from the magazine. The need to foray into unchartered waters primarily arose with the sole purpose of reaching out to all involved. To set the stage to showcase the talents, light the fire in every mind and arouse the dormant volcanoes was the modus operandi. So here we go!

The initial hitch we came across was settling for an appropriate name that would precisely encapsulate our thoughts. Scuttling through a million thoughts, we came across...

INSIGNIA (n): 1. a badge of authority or honour
2. a distinguishing mark or sign

.....and the name clicked because the word single handedly describes the mindset that drives the IEEE chapter of SPCE. It manifests the growth, in leaps and bounds, of the organization from its humble beginnings. The inaugural issue serves as a platform, a paramount one at that, churning out archetypes in all fields. The main motivation leading to the conceptualization of Insignia was to send out a strong and meaningful message through the medium of expression which would hopefully result in overall growth of the rationale, because we believe that arming an individual with knowledge is empowerment in the right sense of the word. It's a shield against all adversities, a defense against all odds. From knowledge comes a deeper understanding. Understanding gives way to rapture. Rapture paves the path for an all-consuming passion to reach the summit. On a lighter note, Insignia caters to different genres of interests aside from being a true blue reader's delight.
